The residents of Post 8 in 2008 are an esoteric group of derelicts. They are part of a housing block of 15, most of whom also appropriated Conger 1 and Neal 1 for the 07-08 year. This group now represents a minority of the 06-07 residents of Seymour 2.

There are tensions growing between Post 8 Upper and Post 8 Lower. "Border Disputes" have left several dead and the remaining live in a constant state of alert, ever watchful of the other's movements. If a diplomatic solution is not found soon, epic battles will probably ensue. The ruin will be total and the fallout will last for generations.

Neither level has complete dominance over the other. Each has it's own strengths and weaknesses. All are being probed and exploited as this conflict deepens. Tensions rest on a hair trigger since Rachel Perez (a Lower resident) was locked out of her own room by Upper Floor hooligans. With no Third party offering to mediate, negotiations are rare and fruitless. Both sides are gathering their allies under their banner. Steak Haus is rumored to side with Upper Post 8 while the Lower Post 8 residence are assumed have the backing of two powerful sororities. The slightest aggression on either side could lead to full mobilization and a war that will shake the very foundations of the building.

Rumors permeate party lines of one source of salvation: one Perrin Rademacher. With neither side having dominance, Rademacher's return can be a catalyst for a major shift in power. Post 8 Upper residents hope that he will defend his heritage as one of them, while Post 8 Lower can only pray that his natural mitigatory and diplomatic skills, coupled with a commanding presence, can bring an end to these tensions, rising above innate hatreds and providing a Golden Age of harmony never before seen in the history of this institution.
