I did not mean to upset you over this issue. At the same time, however, there are several legal arguments that we have to be aware of if this site is going to last. I do not know where that image came from, and odds are it is copyrighted. We cannot publish copyrighted images. If you were to draw your own version, this might be a different conversation. In fact, if you were to draw your own, then we would have an obscene, yet Knox-centered "dirty" image that would certainly bring something to the table of discussion, which addresses my second point about relevance. Also, to publish things like that, the site will have to have a whole other discussion about what disclaimers and legal bullshit we would need to cover our asses.
I really do appreciate the debate you are bringing up here, because it is one the site needs. While I would still remove the image (for the reasons described above), I should have started a conversation on the Project:Code of Ethics page to discuss the issue.
The Wiki Fire should be legit and responsible. But responsible does not mean censorship. I will start a thread on the code of ethics and urge you to bring your thoughts to the table. It will be interesting to see where that conversation goes.Tfooq 21:11, 24 May 2007 (CDT)
