Middle School and High School
Erin attended Hamilton Middle School, and views her time there a bit of a blur. She didn't buy into the popularity contest that many of her peers engaged in, and so most of her friends were ones she met outside of school. Her best friends were those she met during church retreats at LaForet, a camp located near Colorado Springs.
Erin then moved on to Thomas Jefferson High School. In high school, she was still the shy kid she'd always been, but started to come out of her shell a bit. She used the student newspaper as a venue to get her quiet voice heard. She was on the was a member of the Jefferson Journal newspaper staff for two and a half years and held positions as copy editor, assistant news editor, news editor, photo editor, and editor-in-chief.
As Erin's father taught at the high school she attended, Erin quickly assumed the nick-name "little Coleman," and was generally greeted with the salutation "Hi, Coleman's daughter!" to which she generally responded, "Hi, whoever you are... presumably one of my dad's students or collegues."
Currently
Erin is a sophomore at Knox, who is considering some combination of English, journalism, and psychology as her major and minor(s). She is a member of the recently created Women's Ultimate Frisbee Team and the news editor of The Knox Student (TKS). She lives in Neal as well as in the S.S. McClure Publications Office.
If you don't know where Neal is, just look for the fire works and giant box forts. And, if you don't know where the publications office is, just look for the crazy TKS editors jamming to funk music at 4 a.m. on Thursdays.
Erin wrote a WikiFire page for her roommate, Alex Braun, and is willing to write one for you too... for a small fee. Say 10 or 15 dollars?
