Ems has been a DJ on [[WVKC]] since she was a [[first-year]], and has averaged two shows per term since then.  In Spring Term 2007, she had two Tuesday shows. The first, [[Busy Beaver]], also featured [[Matt Hundley]] and broadcasted from 1:20 to 4:00 pm.  It was known by some as the "Polite Man and Super Kathy Show," for reasons utterly unknown, and played mostly dance-pop and obscure [[showtunes]].  The second, [[Some Things Dismissed]], aired from 8:00 to 9:00 pm, and primarily played indie pop and [[The Onion]] radio news.
