The Knox College Cherry St. Combo is the top jazz combo at Knox College. The combo holds a weekly gig at the Galesburg Community Arts Center on Main Street, in Galesburg, IL, Thursday nights from 7:00pm-10:00pm. Started in 1990, they originally performed at Cherry Street, hence the name.
In 2024, the Cherry St. Combo released an album titled Chameleon.

Circa 2008 Combos[edit]
The Cherry St. Combo used to be comprised of two sub-combos, the "Alpha Dogs" and the "Omega Dogs." The Alpha Dogs, under the direction of David Hoffman, are Eric Ratzel (drums), Corey Heppner (guitar), Sean Carmichael (piano, vibraphone, saxophones, vocals),Jimmy Pittman (bass), Yumi Kusunoki (trombone), and Esther Newman (alto saxophone).
