There are three stages of users on The Wiki Fire.

  1. Anonymous
  2. Registered users
  3. Sysops, or editors

Anonymous users can edit the text and layout of pages. Registered users can track their edits, upload files and create a profile. They can also register an e-mail address so they can receive e-mails from the site (see "my preferences" in upper right).

Editors' privileges[edit]

Editors can not do a whole lot that registered and anonymous users cannot. Their abilities include:

  • Protecting pages from further editing
  • Deleting pages and images
  • Blocking users or IP addresses.

Editors' code[edit]

Protecting pages[edit]

Pages about people who do not wish to be featured on the site will have a statement posted and their page protected, as per out Project:Policy on people.

Deleting pages[edit]

See main discussion at Project:Code of Ethics

Blocking users or IP addresses[edit]

Only users who are consistently malicious or vandalistic will be blocked. The user must be asked to refrain from the actions first.
