Geoff Brown
Geoff Brown (aka Uncle Joe Bucket) is a junior at Knox, which means he plans to graduate next year, with the class of 2008. He is majoring in English Literature and designing his own minor in Film. This year he lives in Simonds 2 where there is much revelry and comeraderie. It was in his suite that the fraternity GAA(A!) was formed.
Pre-Collegiate Life
Born a sickly child at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver, Colorado, Geoff was lucky to make it. He did and persists in making it to this day. Calling Golden, Colorado his home wasn't hard as he lived there all his pre-collegiate life. Geoff grew up around racetracks with a happy family who decided the colors of his cars long before he'd exited the birthing canal, these colors were Chartreuse and Purple. As racing left him with plenty of time he entertained himself with two hobbies, reading and an interest in mechanics. The latter dropped off when he realized how much it had to do with math. He was selected into gifted and talented programs which resulted in going to school out of his district away from his neighborhood friends who rebuked him appropriately. As a result he enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program where the hope of a free and renowned education was promised him but never delivered. Geoff was accepted to Knox in 2004 after being denied to all the other schools he applied to. He couldn't be happier about that.
Interests
Geoff likes most things that don't require high levels of physical exertion. These include but aren't limited to; playing music with whatever instrument(s) he can get his hands on, reading, photography, bike riding (a less hardcore way of cycling), dominating the Nintendo Wii, and curating the massive film and music library on his computer.
Piracy
Like many students at Knox, Geoff has takes pride in being a pirate. No, not in the faux-nostalgic cliched way that many Knox students claim to be pirates; Geoff will steal any media that isn't bolted to the floor. He doesn't fear the RIAA and welcomes a good arguement about copyright law. If you have something you think he has yet to steal he implores that you hasten to contact him through the standard means.
Knox Activities
WVKC
Since the Fall of the '04-05 school year Geoff has hosted a radio show each term. Early incarnations of the show included; Rebel Radio, The Funk Effect, and The Psychedelic Freakout hour, however these themes were highly laconic and generated no interest on or off the Knox campus. His latest audio endeavor is Mornington Crescent which is a hilarious and popular call-in-and-play-along themed show. The rules are confusing, but you'll understand them in time.
