Alcohol poisoning means that you drank too much. Considering that most of Knox's student body drinks too much on a regular basis, you should be aware of the signs of alcohol poisoning, which are as follows:

  • Mental confusion, coma or person cannot be woken up
  • Vomiting
  • Seizures
  • Slow Breathing - fewer than eight breaths per minute
  • Irregular Breathing - 10 seconds or more between breathes
  • Hypothermia, bluish skin color and/or paleness

If someone is experiencing any number of these conditions, call Campus Safety. They are not judgmental, and put safety before discipline.
