Talk:Sigma Chi
"If the minimum GPA of 2.90 is not met than that GPA is not reported," Can anyone verify this? It is the second time it has been added to this article, so someone obviously thinks its true, but from my understanding of how grades are "reported" for Greek organizations, it doesn't seem possible. I don't want to delete it though, because I don't have any confirmation that it is false either. GreatHeights 10:05, 26 July 2007 (CDT)
Let me ask some of the brothers. I'm not totally clear on this myself, but I think it may have some truth to it.
Myth: GPAs below 2.90 are not reported Fact: All GPAs of members within the Sigma Chi Fraternity are reported. If they were not, they would not be able to hold membership.
That's what I thought. Its not like the administration allows frats to just change their membership each term based on who got good grades. I'll take it out of the article. GreatHeights 15:30, 27 July 2007 (CDT)
This page reads like it's straight off of the national website. Seriously though, I thought the WikiFire was for community knowledge, not advertising for fraternities.
It is for community knowledge, but fraternities and sororities are pretty protective of their image, so a lot of the less laudatory stuff gets deleted.
