Costume shop
The costume shop is usually a hub of activity - particularly during rep term.
Anyone who can thread a serger or create patterns from measurements is always welcome. For most main stage theatre productions, anywhere from ten to fifty different costumes will be created.
For period pieces, most of these costumes are created from scratch. Employees and students work long into the evening and early on Saturdays to get the work done.
Coffee used to be brewed often until costume shop employees and theater students (exceptMargo Shively ) stopped drinking it regularly. When this happened, Nick Perry would often be employed as a coffee pack-mule and the two of them would often be seen drinking unhealthy amounts of it throughout work call.
As of Rep Term 2016, coffee has returned to the costume shop, due to Andrew Purvis working at Billy's Bakery and bringing in fancy coffee and Ren Barkey's coffee addiction.
