Beverages are liquids marketed to and consumed by humans.

Alcoholic beverages[edit]

Main article:Alcoholic beverages.

Also known as hard drinks. An alcoholic beverage contains one or more types of alcohol, and may or may not contain other, non alcoholic ingredients knowns as mixers.

Some alcoholic beverages are flammable. If you drink many flammable beverages, you will get drunk. If you drink more flammable beverages when you are drunk, you will get alcohol poisoning.

Non-alcoholic beverages[edit]

Also known as soft drinks.

Examples of this include water, juice, Vitamin Water, tea, coffee, and carbonated sugar-water. The name attributed to carbonated-sugar water is the root of one of history's most insipid arguments, the Soda vs. Pop debate, which started at the dawn of time.

On campus, you can buy non-alcoholic beverages at the Gizmo, The Out Post, and Grab-n-Go, as well as in vending machines. Off-campus, you can buy all kinds of beverages at Quick Sam's Convenience Convenient (otherwise known as the Quick-Stop, Quickie, BP, and "that creepy gas station where I heard someone got shot that one time.") and at Hyvee.
