GERM 202, also known as German Literature or informally as German Lit, is an intermediate German studies course offered at Knox. It counts for 1 credit. The course is taught by Ross Vander Meulen.

"Readings and discussions in German of various twentieth-century works. Critical analyses of narrative prose, drama, and poetry,"[1]

Credits and Prerequisites[edit]

The course is worth one credit. This course counts toward satisfying the Humanities Foundation Requirement. The course is required to complete a major in German. The prerequisite is GERM 201 or equivalent, or permission of the instructor.

Course Format[edit]

The course consists of readings from the texts, in and out of class. Students read the work aloud in class, interspersed with lecture. There is a mixed essay and short-answer midterm and final.
