Ronald Presley
Reverend Ron Presley, '77, born in 1955 in Illinois, graduated with a B.A. in history and political science, hoping to make his way up to President of the United States. After finishing early in November 1976 and marrying his wife, Susan Presley, he youth pastored at Bethel Baptist Church in Galesburg until law school the next year. However he found his place in ministry and after 2 years at Bethel, he attended Denver Conservative Baptist Seminary. After 2 years toward his Masters in Divinity, he decided to join the police force before finishing his 3rd year. He was a police officer near Denver, Colorado for 7 years, then went back to seminary to finish his M.Div. in '88.
Rev. Presley pastored near Dallas, in Iowa, and in Illinois. He currently lives with his wife in southeastern Iowa. Both of their daughters attended Knox: Elizabeth (Presley) Bazan, '05; and Jennifer Presley, '07. Elizabeth married Tom Bazan, '05, in 2005.
Rev. Presley enjoys computers, television, action movies, disc golf, and repairing and remodeling.
