Flunk day is an amazing day filled with games, activities, free swag, and all kinds of beautiful people showing off how much they can hold down without throwing up...and then how quick they can recover after throwing up.

One of the most exciting parts of Flunk Day isn't Flunk Day at all, but the mystery leading up to it! Use this forum to post predictions, comments, and hype about Flunk Day as the time gets closer. I feel like there hasn't been a lot of talk about Flunk being today... If the only conflict is the guest speaker... I don't know. Thursday seems a little obvious. Maybe they're trying to catch us off guard. Besides, who knows if they even registered the speaker with the planners.

There was an RA meeting scheduled for this day that Amanda postponed without explanation

After a significant time suppling ChatGPT with information about flunk day and its history, one student was successful in getting ChatGPT to make a flunk day prediction. ChatGPT took data from past years, previous flunk day dates, knowledge of widely accepted acceptable date parameters, and access to one of the flunk day planner's calendar in order to make its prediction. May 3rd, 2023 was the Open AI's Flunk Day prediction.

Listen y'all, it has to be the third, its just too good! Monday is too predictable, Tuesday and Thursday classes are a pain to reschedule and I feel like the planners are nice and will consider that (total assumption but listen, okay, it makes sense), and it can't be next week because rutabaga runs Tuesday --> Friday and following the "it wont be Monday three times in a row" rule, it has to be the 3rd. The week after rutabaga is way too late and they wouldn't do that to us twice in a row, would they? No. May 3rd. Mark your calendars!

^two problems with the may 3 theory: one, blessings blues and brews, which would be a complete pain to reschedule since it's a student-run event in a rented space that is advertised to the Galesburg community (and it's Blessing's primary fundraiser) and the McGadney Community Dinner on the 3rd, which would be horrendous optics to announce and then be forced to reschedule because of flunk (esp since McGadney knows when flunk day is and can schedule his events around it).

Because they haven’t released the theme yet, I feel like it’s going to be today and that it’s going to be Flunk Wars: Return of the Flunk in honor of the anniversary of Return of the Jedi

If it's not May third, it's 100% May 4th. I'll bet my life savings on this I am so confident. Listen, listen, listen, okay, so no next week because rutabaga (and not that Monday because having another Monday flunk is laaaame) and the weeks after are way to late, no way they pull a late flunk on us again. Professors weren't happy with it being so late last year and while, ya know, sucks to suck, the professors also had a point and I doubt they'll do it again.

Someone I know who is involved in Flunk Day planning was very adamant that it would not be the 3rd or the 4th. It could be a ruse, and I'm hoping it is because I really don't want another week 8 or 9 flunk... ?

today (may 4) would've been the ideal flunk day. planners seriously fumbled the bag on this one. the only way they can make it better is by doing the unheard of Friday Flunk.... sincerely doubt it and have feeling it'll be Monday of week 8 once a-fucking-gain. why would they do this??? flunk 2024 planners I hope you see this and remember NO ONE WANTS LATE FLUNK. This years graduating class will never have the experience of not having to slog through 4 days of classes (finals prep classes nonetheless) after Flunk Day. I wonder if the motivation behind why this keeps happening lies in wanting people who are going to drink to not drink as much? Regardless, it's taking the fun out of it completely.

Hearing a lot of speculation, but I personally find it highly unlikely they will do three Mondays in a row, as well as having it on Monday of week 8 twice in a row.

If they won't do it on Wed May 3 because of Blessing, Brews, and Blues AND McGadney's thing, AND they can't do it the 4th, 9th, or 10th because of the Athletic Director interviews. This is the ONLY day left that isn't Rootabega or Week 9. Monday Flunk Confirmed.

Sigh. Beyond sick of the Monday Flunks. This might be the first time in Flunk History it’s on the same day 3 years in a row, and it’s like the worst day to to have it, still got the whole rest of the week to go when it’s over

^Monday of week NINE? If this is true I think many people would be over it by this point, not to mention already working on final projects/papers so it would be an inconvenience as well. I know in 2021 it was due to covid, but now it seems like they would be doing it just to be mean.
