Almost identical to Beer Pong, Beruit is a drinking game.
The game is played with a ping-pong size table, twenty cups of alcoholic beverage (usually beer), and a ping pong ball. There are usually 2 people on a team, although it is occasionally played one-on-one. In rare instances, the game has been played with 3 person teams and more cups.
Each team has 10 cups in front of them at their end of the table. The member of one team tries to throw the ball into one of their opponents cups. If successful, the opponent has to drink the contents of the cup. Once one team has eliminated all of the other team's cups, they have won the game. The losing team has to drink the contents of the winning team's remaining cups.
This game is played in some form on college campuses all over the country. At Knox, it was popularized at TKE, although it is now played all over campus. TKE still has one of the finest Beirut tables around.
Sigma Nu has repeatedly attempted a variation of the game, Boxed Wine Beirut, using Franzia boxed wine instead of beer. This was, is, and will forever be a really terrible idea. That hasn't stopped the Snus from doing it anyway.
