Gender and Women's Studies, abbreviated as GWST is a course of study offered through the Gender and Women's Studies Program. It includes one major and one minor.

Overview[edit]

Gender and Women's Studies allows students to study a broad array of topics related to gender, including women, men, gays and lesbians, and feminism. GWST majors may or may not be affiliated with SASS.

Miriam Timmer once suggested renaming the department Feminism and Gender Studies, so that it could be abbreviated as FAGS.
