Adderall is a prescription drug comprised of amphetamine salts, prescribed to combat ADD/ADHD, narcolepsy, and depression. It is a Schedule II controlled substance under U.S. Law, meaning it has a high potential for abuse. It has become popular as a study aid or general stimulant for those without a prescription for it.
