Prairie Street is a street in Galesburg. It runs north-south, and marks the 200 block east.
The street runs from its northern end at Park Lane Avenue to its southern end at Brooks Street (south of which it turns into Knox Street).
North of Main Street it is called North Prairie Street, and south of Main Street it is called South Prairie Street.
Features
Prairie Street marks the extreme eastern edge of campus. Campus features along Prairie include Blodgett Field and the Campus Safety Building.
Other items of interest include the Register-Mail and the Knox County Jail, both between Simmons Street and Tompkins Street.
