The department offers one chemistry major, one chemistry minor, an American Chemical Society certification program, and a set of official recommendations for preparation for a professional career or graduate school in chemistry.
Chemistry (major)
This major allows advanced study in chemistry.

- CHEM 205 (Equilibrium and Analytical Chemistry)
- CHEM 211 (Organic Chemistry I)
- CHEM 212 (Organic Chemistry II)
- CHEM 215 (Inorganic Chemistry)
- CHEM 321 (Physical Chemistry I)
- CHEM 321A (Chemical Laboratory Principles I)
- CHEM 399 (Presentation Skills in Chemistry)
- MATH 152 (Calculus II)
- One of the following:

- One credit of 300-level electives
- One credit of 300-level independent study (CHEM 350)
- A second major, or a minor in Biochemistry
- An Honors Project in Chemistry or Biochemistry (for a major)

This minor allows for intermediate study in chemistry.
