The course is worth one credit. This course does not satisfy any Foundation Requirements or Competency Requirements. The prerequisite is not known; however, a similar course, ANSO 323 (Media and Society), requires junior standing.

Course Format[edit]
The course is divided between discussion and lecture, but the class size is kept small to encourage in-depth discussion. A one-page reflection on a class day's material is required once a week. A term paper of 12-15 pages is due in the seventh week, with a final draft due in lieu of a final.
