The Mathematics Department is one of eighteen academic departments at Knox. It offers two majors and two minors. The department is located in SMC.

Mathematics (major)[edit]
This major allows advanced study in mathematics.
Courses Required for the Mathematics major[2][edit]
10 credits:
- All of the following:
- One of the following:
- Four elective credits in the department numbered above 170, three of which must be 200- or 300-level
- One of the following:
- MATH 361 (Research in Mathematics II)
- MATH 399 (Seminar in Mathematics)
- MATH 400 (Advanced Studies)
Two credits from outside the department may be counted toward the major with the chair's permission.
Mathematics (minor)[edit]
This minor allows for intermediate study in Mathematics.

This major allows advanced study in financial mathematics.

10.5-11 credits:

For students completing a major-minor combination of Financial Mathematics and Business and Management, no more than three courses may be double-counted.
