McKinley Murphy, class of 2010, is a Creative Writing and Theatre Playwriting Minor. She created the minor in playwriting.
- McKinley comes from Farmington, a town smaller than Galesburg.
- She has a sister, Sasha Murphy, who is part of the Knox class of '11. She is going to be an Optometrist. She likes science and music.
- She writes poetry. One of her poems appeared in the Spring '08 edition of Catch.
- She is a member of Pi Beta Phi, Illinois Beta-Delta. Her Big sister is Abby Peterson '08. Her amazing Little sister is Caitlin Sahm '11.
- McKinley is named after Mt. McKinley, the tallest point in the United States. Unlike the mountain, she is quite short.
- You may find her spending time with Simon Schneider, a reclusive Physics & Mathematics double-major. It may sound as though they have nothing in common, but sounds can be deceiving.
- Her sophomore roommate was Paige Alyse Barnum, and they lived in Conger 1. They enjoyed watching their friends behave in a ridiculous manner, along with yelling, making strange noises, and listening to really bad pop-music, circa 2002.
