Themed parties are popular at Knox (as well as everywhere else in the world) because they add an amusing pretense to the act of self-poisoning in order to overcome social and sexual inhibitions. Many themed parties' descriptions are contained entirely within their titles. Several elaborately themed parties were throw during the 2000-2001 school year by the residents of 284 West Thompkins, # 2. During the years 2002-2003, these parties were often thrown by Lee Henderson and Chris McCown and attended by non-student drunkard Ransom Briggs.
