Academy Street is a street in Galesburg. It runs north-south, and marks the 300 block west.
The street runs from its northern end at Hackberry Road to its southern end past Prospect Street.
North of Main Street it is called North Academy Street, and south of Main Street it is called South Academy Street.
Features[edit]
Academy Street marks the western edge of campus. Campus features along Academy include Tompkins Apartments, SMC, the Softball Field, 362 South Academy Street, the Pi Beta Phi and Delta Delta Delta houses, and the Human Rights Center. Quick Sam's is located at the corner of Academy and South Street, and the Knox Crest Apartments, which are popular with students living off-campus, are located between Brooks Street and Knox Street.
There was a bus fire on Academy in May of 2007.
