Berrien Street
Berrien Street is a street in Galesburg. It runs east-west, and marks the 400 block south. The street runs from the western end in a small grove in front of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railroad right-of-way to the eastern end where it meets Indiana Avenue. Berrien Street has numerous gaps in its right-of-way, most notably where it would cross the Knox campus (although it does form the access road to the Seymour Loading Dock). Other gaps include between Holton and Academy streets, in the area across the Burlington Northern Santa Fe mainline track from Kellogg Street to Seminary Street, and from Oak Street to Illinois Avenue (in fact, it's eastern stretch is only one block between Illinois Ave. and Indiana Ave.) Aside from within the Knox campus, Berrien Street is primarily residential.
West of Broad Street it is called West Berrien Street, and east of Broad Street it is called East Berrien Street.
