Cherry Street is a street in Galesburg. It runs north-south, and marks the 100 block east.

The street runs from its northern end at Park Lane Avenue to its southern end at Blair Street. Cherry Street has several gaps in its path, including several in southern residential districts and a large gap between Berrien Street and Fifth Street where it would cross the Knox campus and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe mailine track and railyards.

North of Main Street it is called North Cherry Street, and south of Main Street it is called South Cherry Street.

Features

Campus features along Cherry include GDH, Borzello Hall, the Old Jail, the Auxiliary Gym,and Blogett baseball field.

Other items of interest include a number of bars, such as Cherry Street Bar and Grill, McGillacuddy's, Duffy's, and GP's Lounge. The Knox County Courthouse is also on Cherry, between Tompkins Street and South Street, and the Old City Hall and the Galesburg Public Library are between Tompkins and Simmons Street.
